Good products, but they will change licenses etc from time to time, and it's a pain. I haven't looked at Bochs for a long time, but when I did I remember it being extremely slow. I do still sometimes wonder if perhaps Virtualbox would have been better for performance or other random reasons, but otherwise QEMU does all I need it to. Took a while to get acquainted with the QEMU config options, but now I'm mostly familiar with them, I'm mostly happy with QEMU. Suspend doesn't work super great/I haven't figured it out properly yet (Virtualbox has a better suspend). I like also how I can start the VM automatically from the command line, etc. There's also no ties ins to the desktop like with Virtualbox, but I personally don't need them for what I use the VM for (I just use remote desktop to access the VM). The advantage is it's pretty much built into the kernel, so there's no monkey business when kernel upgrade time comes around (although Virtualbox is usually pain free to upgrade as well). It usually not quite as fast as Virtualbox, but it can get close.
